Associate Account Manager - Sales

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Associate Key Accounts Executive services and grows a portfolio of accounts. AKAE’s primary responsibility is to partner with and ensure the long-term success of our customers while meeting agreed-upon sales targets. AKAE’s are go-getters with a strong customer-focus who is able to understand the customer’s business needs and present relevant solutions. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Work closely with Sales Manager to develop strategies to maximize sales in assigned territory
  • Sell all Allstate Floral product categories including florals, premades, trees, décor accents, containers and seasonal product, as well as merchandising solutions
  • Serve as the customer's single point of contact, working closely with the customer to gain insights into business pains and opportunities
  • Visit customer regularly to meet with managers, associates and designers, ensuring all Allstate Floral products, training and POP are current
  • Deliver in-person and online sales presentations and training on an ongoing basis
  • Resolve customer issues and manage/escalate concerns as appropriate
  • Maintain customer and sales activity data
  • Review and analyze accounts regularly to identify additional sales opportunities
  • Attend trade shows to connect with new and existing customers and prospects

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This job operates primarily in a professional office environment. The role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, copiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. When expected to travel to trade shows, the environment becomes the showroom.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand as necessary. If requested to travel to trade shows, the ability to stand or walk on feet for several hours at a time is required.  Ability to lift, push, and pull, reach objects of medium weight (up to 30 pounds), bend, squat, and stoop during trade show setups

POSITION TYPE AND EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time position in our Cerritos, California, headquarters. Business hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. If requested to travel to trade shows, the expected days and hours of work will change accordingly.

TRAVEL

Travel is primarily locally during the business day.  Domestic travel is expected to our showrooms for trade shows and set-ups, 4 to 6 times a year, for multiples days at a time; approximately 25%-50%.. Destinations include Dallas, TX, Atlanta, GA, High Point, NC, and/or Las Vegas, NV.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field highly desired
  • Minimum of 2 years of sales or account management experience
  • Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship-building, communication and presentation skills
  • Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
  • Proficient in MS Office suite
  • Experience or knowledge of the home décor or silk floral highly desired
