POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Sales Assistant with the Corporate Sales Team you will begin your career for a minimum of six months to eighteen months in the Sales Assistant role responsible for assisting and supporting our Account Managers. This role is 100% onsite.  This includes administrative work, as well as calling leads, prospects and accounts, establishing a business relationship and moving them quickly and efficiently through the sales cycle. As you master the Sales Assistant role, you may have the opportunity to progress into the Associate Account Manager role in which you will engage with customers to understand design needs and drives product awareness to generate customer value. You occasionally will attend trade shows in Atlanta, Dallas, Las Vegas, and High Point to network and get to know our customer base. You will learn the business behind a dynamic, fast paced and high growth potential industry.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Take and process customer orders, including handling inbound customer calls and general office work
• Assist with account management activities including completing customer profiles, following up on sales calls and creating collateral and presentations
• Build relationships, identify opportunities and capture sales from warm leads – no cold calling
• Qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline by communicating value proposition and key benefits of Allstate Floral product suite
• Execute and track targeted calling campaigns for warm leads
• Track all sales activities through Salesforce.com (new in 2019)
• Assist with trade show planning including new product preparation and customer meetings

TRAVEL

This position requires some travel that is primarily during business days but may include select weekends. Domestic or local travel is expected for customer meetings, vendor conferences, training, trade shows, and showroom set-ups that may last for multiple days at a time; approximately 10%-25%.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
• Superior communication and customer service skills
• Sales Mindset
• Team player with a positive can-do attitude
• Resilience and an ability to overcome objections
• Great attention to detail and ability to follow up on multiple tasks
• Willingness and ability to attend/work at designated key industry trade shows and showroom set-ups.
• Proficient in MS Office suite

DESIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred
• Bilingual English/Spanish
• Home décor, artificial floral, wholesale experience

SALARY RANGE (depending on experience):  $17 - $20 hourly
